McConnells Mill Sunset Maternity Photos / Hope, Ty, & Zeus
I have to admit that when I first met Hope immediately before her session started, I thought surely this couldn’t be my client because she looked so tiny! Hope, her husband Ty, and their dog, Zeus, just moved to the Butler area, and she completely fell in love with McConnells Mill when I recommended it for a location. The stairs down to the mill were closed the day of her session, and I was so worried that the hike would tire her out (I couldn’t have handled it while pregnant!), but she was a total trooper the entire session.
We stopped a few times on the trial to take advantage of the gorgeous light. We were also stopped by quite a few people wanting to pet Zeus on our way to and from the mill. What you can’t see in these photos is Zeus being mobbed by kids right outside of the frame.
I took the three of them to everyone’s favorite spots around McConnells Mill – the mill itself and the covered bridge. They loved the little pond across from the mill and all the fall foliage surrounding us. Afterward, Hope was able to hike right back up the hill to the parking lot like she wasn’t even 34 weeks pregnant. I grabbed this last shot after we had already packed up. The sunlight was too good to pass up!
