What To Wear For Your Senior Photos
Do you know what you’re wearing for your senior portrait session?
Most importantly, make sure it’s an outfit that you feel comfortable and confident in. If it’s not your style, something you wouldn’t typically wear, and you just don’t feel like yourself – all this will come through in the photos. Make sure it fits well too. Your photographer wants you to be able to have fun and focus on getting good photos – not playing with a strap that keeps sliding down or trying to sit in an outfit that’s maybe too tight or too short.
Most seniors (or their parents) decide on one slightly formal outfit and one casual. Some people choose to wear a suit or their prom/homecoming dress. There are a lot of rules out there saying that girls should wear heals instead of flats. I personally think that you should wear your favorite clothes and accessories and make sure that you feel comfortable in them.
Make sure your outfit fits your location. If you’re really worried about getting a brand new outfit dirty, maybe opt for an indoor session. If your session is at a park, make sure your shoes are comfortable or bring sneakers to wear while walking from spot to spot.
As always, ask me if you need some help! When seniors are indecisive, sometimes it helps to have the photographer recommend which outfit might look best in a particular location.
